for Brodmann`s
areas. This is cytoarchitectonic map from 1909, but still uesfull.
Many of those
areas are parts of functional areas, for example - primary visual cortex is
17 BA, primary auditory cortex is
41, 42 BA and motor speech cortex (Broca`s area) is 44 BA.

bottom on the right side. All color areas are visual areas. Notice how large
is visual cortex in macaque
- more than 50% of all cortex! Numbers are equivalent of Brodmann`s Areas (BA).
